Job summary

Xyant Technology in the United States is seeking a Quality Inspector for Aerospace/Aircraft on a 3-month contract. You will perform inspection tasks across incoming goods, assemblies, and first article checks while documenting non-conformances for leadership review.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and cosmetic inspection experience, ability to read engineering drawings, and familiarity with 8D/5 Whys corrective actions. aerospace background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical and cosmetic inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience using CMMs, borescopes or interpreting GD&T specs.
• Solid ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.

Job Description

Position: Quality Inspector - Aerospace/Aircraft

Duration: 3Months Contract

Direct Client Need

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical and Cosmetic inspection
• Provide Quality control activities including new product introduction
• Provide inspection services for incoming goods, returns and assembly
• Document non-conformances and report major quality issues to leadership
• First Article inspection

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing Mechanical and Cosmetic Inspections using tools like CMMs, borescopes, or GD&T specs required.
  Please briefly describe your experience navigating these quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Nice to have aerospace / aviation manufacturing experience (Not mandatory)
• It is essential that the successful candidate have solid inspection experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
• Technically competent, able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate effectively with a team.
• Attention to Detail: Capable of maintaining precision in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Strong Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication and numerical skills are essential.
• Familiarity with Quality disciplines including 8D reporting, 5 Whys and the completion of corrective action reports. (also essential)
