Job summary

D.O.M. magazine is seeking a Quality Inspector for a contract, onsite role in Midland, Texas.

You will perform in-process inspections of electrical and mechanical assemblies using drawings, CAD models, and established procedures to verify conformance to design requirements. Requirements include 3+ years of aerospace/manufacturing inspection, an associate degree in a technical field, and experience with calibrated measuring devices.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing and production standards in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience performing detailed product inspections using blueprints/specifications and precision measuring equipment.
  • Associate degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • 3+ years of inspection experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electrical systems, including testing and inspection using portable measuring devices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed in-process inspections of electrical and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform product inspections on finished goods, including First Article Inspections.
  • Document production nonconformance according to procedures and standards.
  • Communicate quality issues effectively to personnel.
  • Work on multiple assignments concurrently.

Perform detailed product inspections on finished goods, including but not limited to First Article Inspections and certified supplier document reviews. Document production nonconformance in accordance with provided procedures and processes, verifying compliance to applicable standards. Establish professionalism and timelines in the performance of daily activities. Communicate effectively to personnel any quality issues needing resolutions. Work on multiple assignments concurrently while maintaining flexibility to the production schedule. Monitor the use of calibrated measuring instruments.

This is a Contract position based out of Midland, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
