Job Description

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components, and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense, and general aviation sectors. Position Description: The Quality Inspector will perform final inspections, in-process, and first article inspections. They will evaluate parts against print specifications, understand inspection methods, and support manufacturing processes and personnel, all while adhering to the Quality Policy and AS 9100 requirements. The position reports to the Quality Manager and takes daily direction from the Inspection Supervisor. The weekend shift pays a 25% shift premium.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).
• Proficient in using inspection tools such as micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc.
• Complete all required paperwork, including inspection reports.
• Perform mold casts to check ID dimensions.
• Identify dimensional and visual defects.
• Understand customer specifications and requirements (PWA).
• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace specifications, particularly Pratt and Whitney requirements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding dimensional symbols.
• Ability to identify visual defects.
• Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and CMMs (manual and DCC).
• Knowledge of measurement equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Adherence to document control procedures.
• Knowledge of various inspection reports.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
