Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Quality Inspector for our 2nd shift weekend schedule (Friday-Sunday 5pm-5:30am) at our Springboro, OH Facility. This role supports in-process inspection across manufacturing processes and requires strong attention to detail, math skills, and effective communication with operations, management and DCMA.

You will use gauges, micrometers, and calipers, ensure adherence to quality control procedures, and uphold EHS compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be self-motivated with good leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

Quality inspector is responsbile for in process inspection for our manufacturing processes.

• Must be self-motivated, self-directed and possess leadership qualities
• Must have a good attendance record
• Previous Quality inspection a must (experience in a manufacturing environment as plus)
• Highly knowledgeable in the use of various types of gages, micrometers, calipers, etc
• Has intermediate or advanced knowledge of quality control procedures
• Has intermediate or advanced understanding of containment and quarantine procedures and NCM procedures
• Monitor production operations to ensure they meet documented standards
• Must be able to utilize basic math skills
• Must be able to communicate with operations, management and DCMA
• Ensure all EHS compliance is met
• Must be able to use computer and email for data entry
• Must be able to communicate with management and other personnel

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED required. Quality experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
