Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems seeks a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (3:30pm-2:00am) at its Springboro, OH facility. This role supports the warfighter by ensuring product quality in a manufacturing setting and requires self-motivation and reliable attendance.

Candidates should have prior quality inspection experience and be proficient with gauges and measurement tools, basic math, and communicating with operations, management and DCMA. EHS compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of gages, micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools.
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with containment and quarantine procedures and NCM procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet documented standards by monitoring production operations.
• Utilize basic math to verify measurements and tolerances.
• Communicate effectively with operations, management and DCMA.
• Maintain EHS compliance and proper data entry using computer/email.

Responsibilities

• Must be self-motivated, self-directed and possess leadership qualities
• Must have a good attendance record
• Previous Quality inspection a must (experience in a manufacturing environment as plus)
• Highly knowledgeable in the use of various types of gages, micrometers, calipers, etc
• Has intermediate or advanced knowledge of quality control procedures
• Has intermediate or advanced understanding of containment and quarantine procedures and NCM procedures
• Monitor production operations to ensure they meet documented standards
• Must be able to utilize basic math skills
• Must be able to communicate with operations, management and DCMA
• Ensure all EHS compliance is met
• Must be able to use computer and email for data entry
• Must be able to communicate with management and other personnel

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED required. Quality experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
