Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems seeks a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (3:30pm-2:00am) at our Springboro, OH facility. You will perform in-process inspections, use gauges and measuring tools, and ensure production meets documented standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspection of manufacturing operations to ensure conformance with standards.
• Utilize gauges, micrometers, calipers and other inspection tools to measure parts.
• Monitor production to ensure documentation and procedures are followed.
• Communicate findings with operations, management and DCMA as required.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies and data entry via computer/email.

Responsibilities

Quality inspector is responsible for in process inspection for our manufacturing processes.

• Must be self-motivated, self-directed and possess leadership qualities
• Must have a good attendance record
• Previous Quality inspection a must (experience in a manufacturing environment as plus)
• Highly knowledgeable in the use of various types of gages, micrometers, calipers, etc
• Has intermediate or advanced knowledge of quality control procedures
• Has intermediate or advanced understanding of containment and quarantine procedures and NCM procedures
• Monitor production operations to ensure they meet documented standards
• Must be able to utilize basic math skills
• Must be able to communicate with operations, management and DCMA
• Ensure all EHS compliance is met
• Must be able to use computer and email for data entry
• Must be able to communicate with management and other personnel

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED required. Quality experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
