Responsibilities

  • Supervises quality assurance analysis to ensure reliable operation in a laboratory setting.
  • Implements quality control procedures for the laboratory.
  • Performs routine analysis to ensure the integrity of data, processes, and results and provides recommendations to improve quality standards.
  • Reviews and interprets test results to ensure accuracy, precision, and repeatability.
  • Performs calculations and determinations to validate results or specifications.
  • Validates and verifies methods and identifies issues that may affect the accuracy and integrity of test results.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from HR Directors & General Managers.

Essential Functions

Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 3-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Quality, Engineer or related degree preferred.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Calibration, Laboratory Practice Quality Assurance (LPQA), Laboratory Results Reporting, Precision Measurement, Quality Assurance Process, Quality Control/Testing, Quality Improvement, Reliability Analysis, Analyze Lab Results, Laboratory Equipment Maintenance, Validation Protocols
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • This position is Safety-Sensitive.
Travel Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
