Job summary

Grifols Diagnostic Solutions in San Diego, California seeks a Quality Inspector 2 to inspect incoming raw materials and finished components to ensure conformance with Quality specifications.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of related experience with a High School diploma or 0–2 years with an Associate degree; knowledge of GMP/QSR and basic measurement devices is required, ASQ CMI is a plus. May assist in training new employees.

Responsibilities

• Inspects raw materials, components and finished devices.
• Maintains inspection records.
• Samples material for QC testing.
• Completes inspection records per GMP/QSR and maintains records.
• Performs lab maintenance per written protocols (e.g. cleaning, equipment calibration).
• Creates or revises documents as needed.
• Performs periodic trouble-shooting and special assignments.
• Reviews and checks documents for final quality approval.
• May assist in training new employees.

Grifols Diagnostic Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector 2 for our San Diego, CA site. The Quality Inspector 2 is responsible for inspecting incoming raw materials and finished components and devices to ensure conformance with Quality specifications.

To qualify for this role, we are seeking candidates with 2-4 years of related experience with their HS Diploma or 0-2 years of related experience with their AA degree.

Primary responsibilities for role:

• Inspects raw materials, components and finished devices.
• Maintains Inspection records
• Samples material for QC testing
• Completes inspections records according to Good Manufacturing Practices and maintains inspection records.
• Performs laboratory maintenance per written protocols (e.g. cleaning, equipment and maintenance calibration).
• Creates new documents and/or revise existing documentation.
• Performs periodic trouble-shooting and special assignment duties.
• Reviews and checks completed documents for final Quality approval.
• May assist in training new employees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of GMP/QSR requirements.
• General knowledge of basic measurement devices.
• ASQ Cetification as a CMI desired.

Education:

Typically requires a High School degree

Equivalency:

2-4 years related experience

AA and 0-2 years related experience

Occupational Demands:

• May occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 25 pounds in weight, and/or lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise manipulate objects up to 10 pounds in weight frequently or continuously.
  

The estimated pay scale for the Quality Inspector 2 role based in San Diego, California, is $22.82 per hour to $28.58 per hour. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool.
