Job summary

Embla Medical is seeking a Quality Inspector/Final Inspector in Orlando to perform in-process and final inspections of prosthetic components. You will audit technician work, read orders, and verify conformance to specifications while supporting root-cause analysis for defects.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organization, and good communication, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Measure length and circumference; conduct tests for movement, valves, alignment, and stability.

About The Role

Under the general supervision of the Quality Supervisor, performs quality assurance/final inspection for flaws and defects on definitive sockets, check sockets and liners. The Quality Inspector will ensure we are manufacturing the highest quality prosthetics. This position may also be required to assist with internal audits of manufacturing processes, process improvement projects, and other activities related to quality assurance.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to assure items meet required standards and conform to manufacturing specifications/work instructions.
  • Audit the work of our Prosthetic Technicians in a collaborative way. Work with management to develop manufacturing and training methods.
  • Read and interpret customer order forms and manufacturing work orders.
  • Confirm product against customer order form.
  • Perform length and circumference measurements on each product.
  • Perform tests on all prostheses for freedom of movement, sealed valves, alignment, and biomechanical stability, utilizing inspection instruments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, inputs data into quality database.
  • Removing products that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality.
  • Processes returns products and completes evaluation to determine root cause of defects
  • Composes responses to customer complaints suitable for internal distribution
  • Prepares and Executes Corrective Action/Preventative Action plans
Who You Are
  • Graduate of high school or GED
  • Preferred 2 – 3 years as a Quality Inspector/Final Inspector, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be detail orientated, responsible and demonstrate organizational skills
  • Must be customer, quality and results oriented.
  • Detail oriented with an ability to problem solve
  • Some experience in a manufacturing environment would be helpful.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Proficiency in mainstream applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated and dependable with excellent communication skills.

Compensation

The US base pay range for this full-time position is $23.44 - $28.92 + benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay rates. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
