Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of previous experience required; aircraft parts inspection preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9100 Rev C preferred.
• Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Proficient with basic shop math.
• Sense of urgency and ability to meet short deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products such as forgings, bars, sheets, castings, and strips for conformance to specifications.

Summary

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for administering the company quality program in accordance with customer and company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products, such as forgings, bars, sheets, castings, and strips, for conformity to customer specifications.
• Use measuring instruments to examine products for flatness, straightness, and defects, such as cracks, slivers, or scars.
• Mark defective areas with chalk or paint.
• Verify dimensions of product, using micrometers, gauges, tapes, and templates.
• Conduct hardness tests, using hardness testing machines.
• Reject products not meeting specifications.
• Prepare reports covering materials scrapped or salvaged.
• Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts.
• Accepts and adapts easily to change.
• Ensures that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement.
