Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC in Wichita seeks a Quality Inspector to visually and functionally inspect aircraft parts during all processing phases.

Responsibilities include documenting inspections, reading planning documents, calibrating tools, coordinating with departments, and helping interpret quality specifications and procedures. HS diploma required; aerospace experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in masking or related field, preferably in the aerospace industry.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

• Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes.
• Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blue prints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection
• Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using
• Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality
• Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures
• Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators
• Conduct internal audits as required
• Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Description

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Shift Schedule Friday - Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM, 36 hours, paid for 40.

Position Summary:
