Job summary

APEX ENGINEERING INTERNATIONAL LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector in Wichita, KS. The role focuses on inspecting aerospace components such as forgings, bars, sheets, and castings to ensure conformance with customer specifications.

You will use micrometers, gauges, templates and hardness testers to verify dimensions and material properties. Candidates should have 2+ years in quality inspection, prefer aerospace experience, and hold a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection
• Aircraft parts inspection preferred
• AS9100 Rev C knowledge preferred
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Proficient with basic shop math
• Sense of urgency; ability to meet short timelines
• Strong communication skills; ability to work with diverse contacts
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect products ( forgings, bars, sheets, castings, strips ) for conformance to customer specs.
• Use measuring instruments to check flatness, straightness, and surface defects.
• Mark defective areas with chalk or paint.
• Verify product dimensions with micrometers, gauges, tapes, templates.
• Conduct hardness tests using appropriate machines.
• Reject non-conforming products.
• Prepare reports on scrapped or salvaged materials.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Adopt changes; ensure alignment with company mission.
• Operate job-related equipment as required.
