The Ultra Assurance function is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and fulfilment of Ultra's Quality Policy, which is to comply fully in the conduct of the Company's business with all applicable regulatory and customer required specifications, and to maintain an effective Quality Management System, working in partnership with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that products and processes conform to applicable standards and specifications, and the incidence and costs of quality non-conformances are constantly monitored and improved, while maintaining the highest practicable standards of manufacturing productivity and efficiency.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform receiving inspection.
  • Perform appropriate transactions in internal systems.
  • Perform in-process inspections as required.
  • Perform Final QA Audit of Product as needed.
  • Knowledge and use of hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages.
  • Maintain Receiving inspection files.
  • Pull prints from files or electronic database.
  • Interpret prints for measuring parts.
  • Interface with Purchasing, Engineering and Shipping/Receiving departments.
  • Most be flexible in schedule and available for Saturdays and OT as needed.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Interface with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Shipping/Receiving departments.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years in engineering/manufacturing/QA inspection and test
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge and use of basic hand tools and measuring tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Position requires extensive sitting and/or standing and good eye-hand coordination.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to read small text and handwriting.
  • Manual dexterity required and able to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Frequently required to stand.
  • The employee must be able to visually examine parts and documents.
  • The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
