Spectrum Plastics Group in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications and regulatory requirements.

You will read blueprints, perform GD&T checks, document results, support corrective actions, and participate in audits and 5S safety practices; familiarity with ISO 13485 and SPC is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in quality/metrology preferred.
• 1–3 years of inspection or quality experience in manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with statistical tools (SPC) and ISO 13485 is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality software tools.

Job Details: Job Location: Apex - Pittsfield - Pittsfield, MA 01201, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00 Hourly, Responsible for performing inspections of incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications, standards and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect parts, components and products using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs (as applicable).
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections based on control plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Accurately document inspection results, including non-conformances, in inspection logs or quality databases
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices) and safety policies
• Participate in audits, calibration activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicate quality concerns clearly to production, engineering, and quality leadership
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and follow 5S principles

Qualifications: Skills / Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or coursework in quality or metrology preferred
• 1-3 years of inspection or quality experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment (medical device, aerospace, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques
• Familiarity with statistical tools, SPC, and quality systems (e.g., ISO 13485) is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality software tools (e.g., ERP systems like IQMS, etc.)
