Job summary

Lippert is seeking a Quality Inspector / Water Testing Inspector in the United States to perform water testing inspections and final product verification before shipment. This role emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to quality standards in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

  • High school education required.
  • At least 6 months of detail-oriented work.
  • Manufacturing/quality inspection experience preferred.
  • Quality inspection and water testing familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform water testing inspections of all products to ensure specifications before shipment.
  • Perform final inspections using gauges, CMM, scales, and vision systems prior to shipment.
  • Reconcile final inspection and water testing documentation for shipments.
  • Interact with leadership, production and other inspectors daily about defects.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure adherence to work instructions and quality standards.
  • Test incoming/outgoing materials and route bad products back to production.
  • Assist with containment, sorting and verification activities as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and contribute to timely quality results.

Quality Inspector / Water Testing Inspector

Hourly-Starting Rate $20.18 Plus (Based on Experience)

Essential Functions

  • Perform water testing inspections of all products to assure products meet established specifications prior to shipment.
  • Perform final inspections of all products to assure products meet established specifications prior to shipment using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, and vision prior to shipment.
  • Reconcile final inspection and water testing documentation for shipments.
  • Interact with department leadership, production and other inspectors as needed. Daily communication with leaders and operators on potential defects.
  • Conduct process audits throughout production to ensure processes are being followed according to established work instructions and quality standards.
  • Test incoming/outgoing materials.
  • Send bad product back to production to be fixed before allowing product to be shipped out or used in production.
  • Help pack products into shipping containers as needed.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing quality and timely results.
  • Work with Quality Leaders and production team to develop more efficient processes and higher quality standards.
  • Assist with containment, sorting, and verification activities as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are decided by production and your reporting Manager.

Typical hours for this position are as follows: Monday through Thursday 5am to 3:30pm, with possible overtime opportunities.
