Job summary

Lippert Components in Gloversville, NY is hiring for a full-time production associate. You will work in a team to meet production goals, read work orders, and operate fabricating machinery. Strong communication and the ability to work under supervision are essential.

This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing all day, and adapting to changing priorities. Shift options: 1st and 2nd shifts with hours listed; starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour plus a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school education.
  • Previous manufacturing, industry, or construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects.
  • Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, frame prints, and measurements.
  • Must be able to work under close supervision.
  • Must demonstrate production competency and knowledge of production systems.
  • Must be able to rotate to other production positions as the need arises or as deemed necessary.
  • Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including fabricating machinery, band saws, acetylene torches, tape measures, etc.
  • Must able to physically lift and maneuver weights in excess of fifty pounds
  • Must possess successful problem solving skills
  • Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
  • Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations
  • Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hourly range of position is $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, with a $2.00 Shift differential for 2nd Shift. Starting salary at the lowest end of the range.

  • 1st Shift: M - Th: 6:00am - 4:00pm, Friday overtime as needed to meet production needs: 6:00AM-2:00PM
  • 2nd Shift: M - Th: 4:00PM - 2:00AM, Friday overtime as needed to meet production needs: 2:00PM-10:00PM
Required Education and Experience
  1. Minimum of a high school education.
Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Previous manufacturing, industry, or construction experience.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
