Job Title:

Quality Inspector

£41,150 with scope for some overtime

Shifts:

Days - 07:00 - 15:00

Duration:

Fixed term contract - 18 months

Client Summary:

Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service, and maintenance.

Position Summary:

1. Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework).
2. Record inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.
3. Maintain inspection records per component, assembly, and vehicle.
4. Maintain Quality documentation for components, assemblies, and vehicles.
5. Participate in customer joint inspections.
6. Preparation of approval and shipping documents.
7. Control the correct calibration of critical equipment and instrumentation used in inspections.
8. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Industrial Quality Engineer, and/or Site Industrial Quality Manager.

Person Profile / Experience:

1. Strong experience in a quality/manufacturing environment, ideally in a similar role.
2. Previous experience reading drawings/specifications and familiarity with various test equipment.
3. Good knowledge of problem-solving tools and product specifications.
4. Strong background in Practical Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis.
5. Experience in operational activities, documentation management, collaboration, and team working.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Knowledge of Quality standards (ISO 9001, IRIS, CMMI, etc.) and quality tools.

Qualifications:

Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2 in engineering or manufacturing principles; however, experienced individuals will also be considered.
