Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Inspection Technician to join our team at deBotech, Inc., a manufacturing company located in Mooresville, NC, specializing in carbon fiber parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products through meticulous inspection processes.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an inspection role within a composite manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Experience with manual measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Proven experience in visual inspection of composite components and understanding of relevant process terminology, facilitating effective communication with engineering, production, and quality teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day inspection functions.
• Ensure all components are inspected prior to release for production (First Offs).
• Inspect components during manufacturing and assembly to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Coordinate with the Production Manager to verify that all parts are inspected according to drawings/CAD before dispatch.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to coordinate inspection processes and review results.
• Measure parts and assemblies for dimensional accuracy using precision instruments, templates, jigs, and fixtures.
• Maintain and calibrate measuring equipment regularly.
• Assist in root cause analysis of defects identified during inspections.
• Document concessions and NCRs as needed.
• Accept or reject parts and assemblies, and record inspection results, rework, and dispositions.
• Report recurring inspection failures for corrective action.
