Qualifications:

  • Able to operate and program a bridge CMM and a CMM arm.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC-DMIS software is a plus.
  • Proficient with standard mechanical inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gages, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of Industry standards.
  • Able to interpret manufacturing drawings with advanced understanding of GD&T.
  • Capable of generating AS9100 FAIRs.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a quality inspection or related position.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures machined parts conform to drawing specifications during receiving, in-process, & final inspections.
  • Reads and analyzes blueprints to ensure in-house resources are adequate to perform inspection.
  • Provides plan and instruction to CNC operators, fabricators, and assembly techs for any necessary in-process inspections.
  • Provides documentation of inspection results, generates AS9100D FAIRs, and will follow the procedures set forth in the quality management system.
  • Ensures that calibrated item status is valid on all tools to be used.
