Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update calibration system, including sending measuring tools for calibration to an outside lab and performing in-house calibration of specific tools.
- Maintain and conduct AS9100 system internal audits and reviews.
- Create and review all inspection reports and travelers.
- Conduct tests, inspections, audits, and validations to accept in-process production, finished products, and incoming products, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Perform first article and in-process inspection in Machine Shop.
- Determine if the lot meets the specified physical test ranges.
- Document results as part of the Quality product release process.
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections, including visual inspections.
- Maintain inspection tools and work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition, following safety regulations.
- Calibrate equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- Ability to independently perform first-piece inspection on machined parts and assemblies.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Proficiency in calibrating hand measuring equipment.
- Familiarity with Optical Comparator, CMM inspection, PCDMIS, and Mitutoyo.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel).
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in Manufacturing/Quality.
