Job Details

This role is ideal for individuals who excel in critical thinking and take pride in upholding the highest quality standards. You’ll be responsible for:

• Inspecting products, conducting precision tests, analyzing measurements, and documenting production data to ensure all manufacturing processes meet strict industry and internal quality requirements
• Performing detailed inspections on incoming raw materials and outgoing products using AN, MS, NAS, and MIL standards
• Conducting First Article Inspections (FAIs) and generating documentation per AS9102 requirements
• Rejecting and returning nonconforming products and materials
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, plug/ring gauges, and optical comparators to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Maintaining and entering inspection results into internal databases and completing supporting documentation
• Collaborating with Sales, Purchasing, and Production teams to resolve quality-related issues
• Communicating directly with customers and suppliers to address and resolve inspection discrepancies
• Monitoring calibration status and functionality of inspection equipment; reporting maintenance needs
• Staying up to date with evolving quality practices and industry standards
• Supporting continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements
• Ensuring compliance with AS9100 quality system

Qualifications

1. 3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment (aerospace or defense strongly preferred)
2. Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, and other measuring tools
3. Strong understanding of fastener specifications, materials, and finishes
4. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and blueprint reading
5. Familiar with AN, MS, NAS, MIL, IATF, and AS9100 standards
6. Skilled in math, measurement conversions, and technical reading comprehension
7. Strong communication and documentation skills
8. High attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team setting
9. Certification in Quality Control is a strong plus
