Job summary

Per Sé Group is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support utility-scale renewable energy construction. This on-site, hands-on role focuses on inspecting civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical work, reviewing drawings and specifications, and ensuring conformance to quality plans and standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction quality inspection, preferably in renewable energy, with strong documentation and communication skills to support safe, high-quality project

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction quality inspection or related field experience.
• Experience in renewable energy construction preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Working knowledge of inspection practices and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine field inspections across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, applicable codes, standards, and project quality requirements.
• Observe construction activities and verify work is in accordance with the Site-Specific Quality Plan.
• Identify and document deficiencies and maintain issue lists through resolution.
• Generate inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Promote safe, high-quality execution in collaboration with Quality, Construction, and Safety teams.

Quality Inspector – Utility-Scale Renewable Energy / BESS

Honeycomb Project | Utility-Scale Renewable Energy Construction

BE THE EYES ON QUALITY IN THE FIELD.

Per Sé Group is seeking an experienced Quality Inspectors to support construction of a large-scale renewable energy project. This is a hands‑on field role responsible for inspecting construction activities, identifying deficiencies, and helping ensure installations meet project specifications, drawings, codes, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.

Utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) experience is highly preferred, although candidates with quality inspection experience across solar, wind, substations, or other utility‑scale energy construction are encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Perform routine field inspections across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction


• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, applicable codes, standards, and project quality requirements


• Observe construction activities and verify work is being completed in accordance with the Site‑Specific Quality Plan


• Identify and document deficiencies and maintain issue lists through resolution


• Perform or witness visual inspections, compliance testing, and other QA/QC activities


• Verify installations meet manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards


• Report non‑conforming work and potential systemic quality issues to the Site Quality Manager


• Generate clear inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation


• Monitor contractor quality control activities and inspection processes


• Verify proper use and calibration of inspection tools and equipment


• Work closely with Quality, Construction, and Safety teams to promote safe, high-quality execution


• Recommend practical solutions and improvements based on field observations

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

• 3+ years of construction quality inspection or related field experience


• Renewable energy construction experience preferred


• Utility‑scale BESS / battery storage experience highly valued


• Experience with solar PV, wind, substations, or other power generation construction is also valuable


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract requirements


• Working knowledge of construction codes, standards, inspection practices, and quality requirements


• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize installation deficiencies and quality risks


• Knowledge of construction safety and EHS practices


• Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications


• High School Diploma or GED required
