Job summary

Standard Bent Glass, based in East Butler, PA, is seeking a Quality Inspector for a full-time, daylight-hours temporary assignment. You will inspect glass products across production, ensuring conformance to drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

Responsibilities include visual defect checks, measuring with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and documenting results. The role requires attention to detail, ability to stand long periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with glass manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Comfortable using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects accurately.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive inspection tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product dimensions and specifications.
• Review products against engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable ASTM standards.
• Document inspection results, test data, and quality issues accurately.
• Identify and document non-conforming products and communicate issues to the appropriate production and quality personnel.
• Follow ISO 9001 procedures and required documentation practices.
• Assist with identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Verify inspection equipment is accurate and properly maintained and report calibration or equipment concerns.
• Work closely with Production and Quality to help maintain product quality and improve processes.
• Follow all company safety procedures and report potential safety concerns.

Quality Inspector

Full-Time | Daylight Hours | Temporary Assignment

Standard Bent Glass is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team on a full-time temporary assignment. This position works during daylight hours and is responsible for inspecting glass products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet SBG quality standards, customer specifications, drawings, and applicable industry requirements.

What You'll Do
