Job summary

HSP US is seeking a Quality Inspection Technician to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. You will perform inspections, measurements and testing, document results, and identify nonconformities, collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to uphold customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 3+ years in quality inspection, and proficiency with precision measuring instruments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in quality inspection or related area.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, machined components, assemblies, and purchased parts.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using CMM and precision measuring instruments.
• Verify Certificates of Conformance and supplier quality documentation.
• Record inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Assist with calibration verification and maintenance of inspection equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams.
• Support First Article Inspection and supplier qualification.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Quality Inspection Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring the products we deliver meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. You'll conduct inspections, perform measurements and testing, document results, and identify any nonconformities to help maintain product integrity throughout the manufacturing process. Working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams, you'll help ensure our products meet customer expectations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. What We Are Looking For!

• Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, machined components, assemblies, and purchased parts.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using CMM equipment, Faro arms, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, specifications, and inspection standards.
• Verify incoming and in-process products against:
  • Engineering drawings
  • Technical specifications
  • Purchase orders
  • Work instructions
  • Control plans
  • Inspection plans
  • Sampling plans
  • Acceptance criteria
  • Customer-specific requirements
• Verify Certificates of Conformance (COC), Certificates of Analysis (COA), material certifications, and other supplier quality documentation.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using calibrated precision measuring and test equipment
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Process and manage inspection lots within SAP QM management systems.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials and support disposition activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI), supplier qualification, and validation activities.
• Assist with calibration verification and maintenance of inspection equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve inspection efficiency and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and EHS requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections during manufacturing operations to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, work instructions, and control plans.
• Conduct first-piece, setup, patrol, and final verification inspections throughout production.

What You Will Bring!

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• ISO audit experience
• Minimum of three years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Quality inspection
  • Incoming inspection
  • In-process inspection
  • Dimensional inspection
  • Manufacturing quality
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments, including:
  • Coordinate Measuring Machines
  • Faro Arms
  • Calipers
  • Outside, inside, and depth micrometers
  • Bore gauges
  • Pin gauges
  • Plug gauges
  • Ring gauges
  • Thread gauges
  • Dial indicators
  • Optical measuring equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Experience reviewing material certifications and supplier quality documentation.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP and ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and laboratory environment
