Job summary

HSP US is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive quality planning, root-cause analysis, and CAPA across manufacturing processes. You will partner with engineering, production, and suppliers to ensure product quality and regulatory alignment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in quality engineering, GD&T knowledge, and hands-on SPC/Minitab experience. A strong data-driven mindset and cross-functional collaboration are essential to succeed in this role.

As a Quality Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the products and processes we deliver consistently meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Every successful product depends on effective quality planning, continuous improvement, and a commitment to excellence, and that's where you come in. You'll analyze quality data, investigate root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions, and develop quality standards that drive operational performance. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, you'll help ensure products comply with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory expectations. What We Are Looking For!

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D methodologies.
• Facilitate APQP activities including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Support manufacturing quality activities for CNC machining, turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and assembly operations.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and reduce defects.
• Support new product introductions, First Article Inspections (FAI), qualification testing, and validation activities.
• Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality, customer satisfaction, scrap, rework, and supplier performance.
• Lead process capability studies (Cp/Cpk) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Manage customer complaints, nonconforming material reports (NCMRs), and warranty issues.
• Perform internal audits, process audits, supplier audits, and support external customer and certification audits.
• Review drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and customer requirements to ensure compliance.
• Support supplier qualification, supplier performance monitoring, and supplier corrective action processes.
• Develop inspection plans, quality standards, acceptance criteria, and visual work instructions.
• Support calibration and measurement system programs to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability.
• Train employees in quality tools, procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.
• Support management reviews and quality objectives reporting.
• Assist in implementation and certification activities for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025.

What You Will Bring!

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field required.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering role.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and standards, including DIN, IEC, ISO, ANSI, ASME, and customer-specific requirements.
• Strong understanding of German engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing standards.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, process capability, tooling considerations, and dimensional inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation.
• Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision systems, and advanced metrology equipment is preferred.
• Understanding of high-voltage testing principles, electrical insulation systems, dielectric testing, and laboratory quality requirements.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems in an ISO 9001-certified environment.
• Experience in APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and Process Capability Studies.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Experience supporting customer audits and supplier quality programs.
• Experience working with ERP (SAP)/MES systems and quality data analysis tools is preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality engineering principles and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficiency with SPC, Minitab, statistical analysis, and quality tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements; familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 17025 preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and standards.
• Knowledge of measurement and inspection methods, including gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
• Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
