Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Concord, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector to manage inspection activities within Production areas, ensuring product quality standards and customer requirements are met. You will guide inspection tasks, train staff, and drive continuous improvement across metrology and quality processes.

The role requires a 4-year degree with 2+ years in inspection-focused electronics manufacturing, plus extensive SPC, CMM, and QA tooling experience.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of electronics manufacturing experience; 2+ years related to inspection.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in metrology tool use, CMM operation/programming and GD&T.
• Creates, documents and implements inspection criteria and procedures including CMM and serve as subject matter expertise in metrology.
• Develops and analyzes SPC data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
• Formulates documents and maintains quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives, including ISO certifications.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, SPC, CMM, Metrology, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, QMS, Gage R&R, APQP, NPI, MSA, 5S/Kaizen.
• Oversees inspectors work to ensure product quality requirements are met.
