Job summary

Devereux Pocono is seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to help ensure excellence in services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health diagnoses. You will collaborate with the Quality team and leadership to support continuous improvement and achieve strong outcome measures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • A high school diploma with additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, and/or mental health diagnoses
  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare quality management, including direct care experience
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, quality improvement principles, and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze treatment data, behavioral trends, and incident reports
  • Identify patterns (e.g., recurring behaviors, compliance gaps) and share insights with the Quality Management Director
  • Conduct pre‑inspection site visits and support audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and safety activities
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives using data tools such as Power BI and QCG dashboards
  • Complete Certified Investigator training requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze treatment data, behavioral trends, and incident reports

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • A high school diploma with additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, autism, and/or mental health diagnoses
  • At least 1 year of experience in healthcare quality management, including direct care experience
Skills
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, quality improvement principles, and regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication, project management, and facilitation skills
  • Strong data collection and analysis abilities using computer applications
  • Ability to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and make sound independent decisions
