Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; or associate’s with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • If degree is in nursing, graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
  • Minimum of two years in clinical, nursing, safety, process improvement, infection prevention, accreditation or healthcare management.
  • Certification in regulatory accreditation, patient safety, quality (Lean Six Sigma or CPI) or infection prevention (CIC) preferred.
  • RN license in the practicing state with multistate licensure if applicable.
  • Maintains required department competencies and certifications.
  • Quality improvement/assurance personnel with nursing backgrounds may maintain licensure based on role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees performance improvement, regulatory compliance components and activities.
  • Demonstrates problem solving, critical thinking, and team-building skills.
  • Writes and teaches process improvements related to quality and safety.
  • Supports data-driven decisions to improve patient outcomes and reduce risk.
  • Drives process change from education through sustainability.
  • Acts as liaison for performance improvement, infection prevention, reporting, and safety.
  • Analyzes data, identifies opportunities, and communicates findings clearly.
