Job summary

UI Health Care's Office of the Chief Medical Officer seeks a full-time Quality Improvement Engineer to lead patient-flow, quality, safety, and patient-satisfaction metrics across the organization.

The role supports the Office of the CMO and oversees programs, projects and initiatives, requiring strong communication, independent work, and a proven ability to drive positive change in an academic hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in administrative and/or program management within an academic setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively in writing and speech.
  • Proven track record of enacting positive change in a complex organization.
  • Experience working in a welcoming, respectful workplace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate and operationalize performance improvement projects affecting core clinical processes, patient quality and safety.
  • Manage lifecycle of projects within scope, schedule and budget as directed by the CMO.
  • Support executive projects and assist with program administration and oversight.
  • Develop sustainable quality/performance improvement education for physicians and staff.
  • Analyze data, develop simulations, and drive process improvements across UI Health Care.
