Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Quality Operations Manager I to strengthen execution, coordination, accountability, and follow-through across CQO areas in Charleston. You will oversee projects, track deliverables, review contracts, and support data-driven performance improvements for sterile processing, infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory readiness.

The role emphasizes centralized operational support across divisions, enabling standardization of processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, nursing, health sciences, industrial engineering, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, quality/safety, or related field preferred.
  • Two to five years of experience in healthcare operations, quality improvement, project management, sterile processing support, perioperative operations, infection prevention, regulatory readiness, patient safety, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in an academic medical center, hospital operations, perioperative services, sterile processing, quality/safety, or regulatory environment preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma, CPHQ, PMP, CRCST, CHL, CSPDT, CIS, or other relevant healthcare quality, project management, or sterile processing certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects, develop action plans, track deliverables across CQO-led priorities.
  • Review contracts and work with fiscal to maintain contractual excellence.
  • Support data-driven performance improvement and prepare reports and executive summaries.
  • Facilitate communication among clinical, operational, and administrative leaders.
  • Support Sterile Processing Department quality, regulatory readiness, and operational improvement initiatives.
