Job summary

Filament is seeking a Quality Group Leader to oversee a QA team of 1-3 inspectors and own the quality procedures in production. The role includes inspecting a range of components, ensuring conformance to specifications, and generating CofCs and ND documentation.

The candidate will review customer QA requirements (FAI, PPAP), maintain traceability, and work with suppliers to meet certification requirements, while upholding AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, related field or minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality field (preferably Aerospace).

Responsibilities

• Inspect a wide variety of purchased components and machined parts to close tolerances.
• Maintain quality procedures and inspection methods for manufacturing and acceptance of product.
• Generate Certificates of Conformance (CofC) and nonconformance documentation.
• Review customer QA requirements (FAI, PPAP) and maintain traceability.
• Work with manufacturing/engineering to resolve quality discrepancies.
• Monitor vendor performance metrics and supplier certification requirements.
