Job summary

Bento Inc. in Garland, Texas, is seeking a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Technician to ensure food safety and product quality in our manufacturing plant. You will help enforce GMP and HACCP, perform on-floor quality checks, and participate in internal FDA-compliant audits.

Responsibilities include collecting samples, maintaining HACCP records, updating SOPs, and training staff on QA procedures. English/Spanish skills are a plus, with full-time hours in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Food Science, Chemistry, Public Health or Biological Science.
• Knowledge of food safety standards.
• HACCP plant experience is an asset.
• Previous leadership experience preferably in a Food Processing facility.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines & pressure.
• Must be computer literate.
• Bilingual - English/Spanish an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food safety policies are being adhered to and product quality standards are met in our Food Manufacturing Plant.
• Assist front-line supervisory staff in ensuring GMP and HACCP compliance.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards with emphasis on product safety and sanitation.
• Conduct random on-floor quality checks and internal audits to meet FDA standards.
• Perform routine audits in plant & warehouse to ensure company standards are met.
• Lead food safety and quality control training classes and schedules.
• Maintain HACCP records, review and take corrective actions; update SOPs as required.
• Collect and send microbiological and chemical samples for lab testing and verify results.
• Ensure supplier information is updated and materials meet QA standards; verify finished product specifications.
• Conduct factory audits (pre-operational checks, internal audits).
• Investigate non-compliant product or practices and apply findings to improve processes.
