Job summary

Givaudan in the United States is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to build and lead local quality and food safety programs. You will handle audits, documentation, supplier reviews, and regulatory compliance across halal, kosher and organic standards.

You will drive root-cause investigations, manage non-conformances, and partner with regional and global teams to improve performance metrics while maintaining robust quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Preferably Technical degree or equivalent in Science or related field.
• Minimum 3-year function related work experience in Food Manufacturing or Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities

• Build local Quality and Food Safety programs and documentation.
• Assist audits, monthly inspections, and customer questionnaires with stakeholders.
• Manage regulatory programs (halal, kosher, Organic) and supplier QA reviews.
• Lead investigations of non-conformances and perform root-cause analyses.
• Coordinate vendor audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support regional/global quality initiatives and monitor performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Build local Quality and Food Safety programs, including: Maintain the local quality/food safety documentation
• Help perform internal and external audits and monthly inspections.
• Complete Quality-portion of Customer Questionnaire and related documents together with other stakeholders (Quality agreements, and specification reviews)
• Support Global and Regional projects for Customer Quality Service initiatives
• Manage regulatory programs requirements such as halal, kosher, and Organic.
• Perform and report on vendor audits.
• Coordinate investigation of non-conformances. Including participation in investigations and review of root causes, trend analysis and action follow-up.
• Lead and execute Food Safety programs on site. Monitor the performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives including: Food Safety Manual

Qualifications

• Preferably Technical degree or equivalent in Science (Food Science, Food Service, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field), Business, or experience with track record.
• Minimum 3-year function related work experience (Food Manufacturing, Quality Assurance)
• Proficient in Quality Management Systems and Quality Tools (Including: ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, PCQI, HACCP training, GMP, Auditor Experience), and continuous improvement.
• The individual in this role must be familiar with Microsoft Office operations.
• It is value adding if the individual familiar with Food Safety testing instrumentation, including but not limited to Chemistry Testing for Water, Microbiology and ATP Swabbing, and Allergen Swabbing.

Compensation and Benefits

The established salary range for this hourly position is $34-$37 per hour . Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications. Medical, dental, and vision coverage and a high-matching 401(k) retirement plan.
