Job summary

AGT Food and Ingredients Inc. in Minot, North Dakota is seeking a full-time Quality and Food Safety Coordinator to join our ingredient team.

The role reports to the Director of R&D/QAFS with a dotted line to the General Manager. The ideal candidate has a biology/food science background with at least 5 years in QAFS coordination, strong knowledge of GFSI-family standards, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Food Science, Agriculture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QAFS coordination/management role.
• Knowledge of quality and food safety management systems standards (GFSI, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, Gluten-Free) and product-specific standards.
• Strong analytical and communication/presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures implementation of quality and food safety management system programs.
• Reviews and verifies quality and food safety records.
• Maintains document lifecycle in the facility.
• Participates in HACCP hazard analysis and control point reviews.
• Initiates investigations triggered by non-conformances, customer complaints, and audits.
• Coordinates with key personnel to address food safety issues.
• Conducts facility audits and inspections as needed.
• Acts as audit guide during third party audits.
• Ensures inspection readiness of the facility.
• Coordinates QFSMS issues during meetings and toolbox sessions.
• Prepares quality and food safety data for trend analysis and monitoring.
• Participates in validation and verification activities as needed.
• Upholds a quality-conscious and food-safe culture.
• Able to prepare and deliver Quality and Food Safety training to staff.
