Job summary

Crystal Creamery is seeking an experienced Quality, Food Safety & Environmental Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Modesto, California, working Sunday through Thursday 3pm to 11:30 pm.

This hands-on leadership role oversees quality, food safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory programs while guiding QA staff and partnering with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Engineering to meet company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, food safety, environmental compliance, or related regulated manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, SSOPs, and food safety principles.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance requirements and regulatory programs.
• Experience with internal and external audits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make sound decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management/documentation systems.
• Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality, food safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory programs within the manufacturing facility.
• Lead quality personnel; coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, and other departments.
• Monitor CCPs, preventive controls, and required documentation; investigate issues and implement CAPAs.
• Support customer complaints, product investigations, traceability exercises, mock recalls, and audits.
