Job summary

Crystal Creamery in Modesto, CA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a fast-paced dairy manufacturing setting. You will drive reliability, safety, and continuous improvement while supporting production.

You will plan preventive maintenance, manage parts and budgets, and coordinate with Production, Engineering, Sanitation, and Quality to minimize downtime and protect product quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
• Experience using CMMS.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance mechanics and technicians.
• Plan and assign daily work activities while ensuring priorities are met.
• Conduct training, performance evaluations, and corrective action as needed.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Direct corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
• Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize downtime and work with contractors when needed.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate with Production, Engineering, Sanitation, and Quality.
• Prioritize work orders to support production and assist with installations or upgrades.
• Ensure OSHA, FDA, SQF, GMP, and environmental safety compliance; maintain records.
• Manage maintenance parts inventory and budget; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze downtime, PM compliance, and equipment reliability; drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate maintenance priorities and equipment status across departments; partner with stakeholders.
