Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. in Houston is hiring a Head of Quality to own the strategy, systems and outcomes across its electrical equipment manufacturing business.

This leader will build and run an enterprise-level QMS, ensuring every product meets UL, IEEE standards and guiding the quality organization from supplier to shipment with strong cost-of-quality reductions. This role reports to executive leadership and will lead multi-site teams, driving regulatory compliance and customer confidence while

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of progressive quality leadership in heavy electrical equipment or industrial manufacturing.
• Hands-on UL-regulated environments experience with listings and audits.
• Experience building or transforming an enterprise-level QMS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve an enterprise-wide QMS (policies, procedures, records).
• Lead internal audits, management reviews and CAPA; ensure closure.
• Own UL relationships, listings, inspections, and corrective actions for UL 891 switchboards and transformers.
• Define inspection/test plans and acceptance criteria for transformers and switchboards.
• Lead nonconformance and root-cause processes; govern calibration and measurement systems.
• Establish supplier qualification, scorecards, audits and incoming inspection for critical components.
• Build and lead a multi-site quality team and report to executive leadership.
