Job summary

SO2 Power, based in Houston, TX, is building and leading the quality management system for surge protection, backup power, and monitoring products. You will lead a small team of quality engineers, coordinate with contract manufacturers overseas and in Mexico, and report quality performance to the leadership team.

You will drive ISO 9001 aligned processes, certifications, supplier quality, and field-feedback loops, shaping product generations and earning trust essential to growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 8+ years of quality engineering experience in electronics or electrical products, including 3+ years managing people.
• Hands-on experience with UL certification and ISO 9001 audits.
• ASQ CQE or CQM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an ISO 9001-aligned quality management system.
• Lead UL 1449, UL 1778, and FCC certification efforts with third-party test labs.
• Run the supplier quality program, including audits, PPAP, and incoming inspection standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why) on field failures and warranty returns.
• Track and report quality metrics to leadership.
• Hire, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers and inspectors.
