Job summary

Echelon Supply and Service, headquartered in Liverpool, NY, seeks a Quality Manager to lead the quality management system, drive audits, and resolve issues with operations, sales, and purchasing teams. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, documentation control, and customer satisfaction.

The candidate will monitor quality metrics, train staff, and promote accountability to uphold company standards and regulatory requirements, including AS9100 and other applicable frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (business, engineering, operations) with equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in quality assurance/control, operations, manufacturing, distribution, or related environment.
• Experience maintaining a Quality Management System, preferably ISO 9001.
• Strong knowledge of quality processes, inspection standards, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading internal audits, customer audits, supplier audits, or compliance reviews.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, work instructions, customer requirements, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System.
• Lead internal audits, customer audits, and corrective action follow-up.
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor quality metrics and report trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with operations, sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Review and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, records, and inspection documentation.
• Support employee training on quality standards, procedures, and expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise the quality team to ensure they are meeting company standards for employee performance and adhering to quality control requirements.
• Develop and implement quality processes to ensure final product meets or exceeds customer and government standards.
• Develop, write, and/or review FAT, PPAP, AS9100 and other reports for accuracy and acceptance by the end customer.
• Collaborate with upper management to set quality standards and achieve quality goals.
• Identify, implement, and improve quality control processes to meet customer, industry, government, and regulatory requirements.
