Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician in Richardson, TX. The role involves inspecting components and assemblies, performing tests with precision instruments, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 quality systems.

You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive root-cause analyses and CAPA initiatives. The position requires 4+ years in manufacturing and at least 1 year in quality control, with high attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year in a quality control/quality assurance role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections per specifications.
• Conduct tests using calipers, micrometers, CMM, and optical comparators.
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials; track disposition.
• Assist root-cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.
• Contribute to quality procedures and work instructions.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
