Job summary

Jabil in Richardson, TX is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to ensure products meet quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, CMM, and optical comparators; document non-conformances and corrective actions; and support CAPA with root-cause analysis.

The role requires 4+ years in manufacturing and 1+ year in QA, with ISO 9001 knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience; 1 year in quality control preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC).

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to specifications and control plans.
  • Conduct various quality tests using precision measuring instruments and equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators).
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials; initiate and track disposition activities.
  • Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and support the implementation of CAPA.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to calibration schedules.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve product quality.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the quality department.
  • Other duties as they may be assigned.
