Job summary

Raytheon Huntsville is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for 2nd shift with an 8% differential. You will perform receiving and First Article inspections, generate reports, and ensure certifications are met. A DoD secret clearance is required, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Qualified candidates will have strong experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, engineering drawings, and SAP/PRISM systems, with readiness to work two shifts and adapt to training needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 10 years of QA inspection or manufacturing experience, or an Associate's degree with 8 years experience.
• Experience inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection activities and First Article Inspection support.
• Prepare reports and maintain records; ensure certifications are met.
• Verify operations have been completed and accepted at all configuration levels.
• Ensure compliance with Raytheon Policies and Procedures; maintain high-touch, in-person inspection standards.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders (e.g., DCMA) and validate traceability of entries in Factory Operating System.
• Oversee two-shift operation; participate in overtime and training schedules as needed.

This position is for 2nd shift and will provide an 8% shift differential for the hours worked from 2:00pm CT to 12:00pm CT.

What You Will Do

• Performs receiving inspection activities.
• First Article Inspection support activities.
• Prepares reports and maintains records as required. Meets necessary certifications as required.
• Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required. Person must have a proven track record performing quality assurance inspections with minimal oversight.
• Must be able to perform configuration verification of all levels of assemblies/hardware.
• Must know how to verify that all operations have been completely performed and accepted, including but not limited to acceptance testing.
• Must be able to verify all entries in Factory Operating System have been completed and closed correctly at all configuration levels.
• Responsivity to recognize and enforce compliance of Raytheon Policies and Procedures.
• High Touch, In-person Inspection responsibilities, critical for quality assurance inspection
• Factory has 2 shifts.
• Occasional overtime offered and willingness to participate in first shift schedule to accommodate training requirements

Qualifications you must have

• Minimum educational requirement High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 10 years of experience OR Associates Degree and 8 years of QA inspection or manufacturing experience
• Previous experience with electro-mechanical assemblies.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. Government issued security clearance prior to start date.

Qualifications we Value

• Must be experienced performing inspections, using assembly instructions, and reading engineering drawings. Demonstrated understanding of engineering drawings (reading and interpreting).
• Must be proficient in the understanding of torque and assembly methods/processes.
• Must have customer selloff experience; foster excellent working relationships with internal/external stakeholders (ex. DCMA).
• Familiar with SAP and/or PRISM
• Solid understanding of Quality and Engineering Principles, must be capable of communicating quality and engineering criteria/issues to all levels of factory personnel.

This position requires security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD - 114,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
