Job description

Overview:

Practice Fusion is seeking a passionate Quality Engineering Manager dedicated to creating life-saving technology for doctors and patients. This role involves individual contributions (test development and execution), process and procedure management, and people management.

Responsibilities:

• As a manager:
  • Establish performance goals for team members
  • Provide regular constructive feedback and address performance issues promptly
  • Recognize high performers to motivate and retain talent
  • Implement development plans and coaching for team members
  • Create and foster team spirit
  • Induct new joiners to maximize their performance
  • Allocate workload to utilize employee talents and growth potential
• Participate in defining, leading, and auditing quality initiatives, as appropriate
• Report on quality-related metrics regularly
• Lead or participate in standards-based compliance or process improvement efforts
• Manage Quality Engineering team members directly

Individual Contributor Tasks:

• Write code in a C#-based test framework to develop automation for REST web services
• Use SQL for database verification and functional test automation
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve frameworks, methodologies, and processes for Quality Management, test planning, execution, and reporting
• Participate in Agile product development, including requirements analysis and test planning
• Perform exploratory, functional, and regression testing; analyze defects and produce clear bug reports
• Work with engineers and support teams to identify, log, triage, and resolve defects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
• Postgraduate qualifications and memberships preferred

Experience:

• 8+ years in Quality Engineering, including experience in:
• Agile development, test automation, coding, build/release procedures, defect analysis
• Mentoring and leading in a Test Engineering context
