FIS is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering in Jacksonville, FL, a hybrid role combining in-office collaboration with remote work. You will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software, guiding architecture, cloud computing, and application reliability while managing a mid-sized technical team.

You will drive quality, define governance, and partner with product and engineering leaders to deliver critical projects.

• 8+ years in Quality Engineering.
• 5+ years in QA leadership overseeing multiple products or portfolios.
• Experience creating enterprise-scale QA strategies.
• Strong release governance and test management background.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Vendor/team governance experience.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.

About the role

As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, efficient software systems aligned with FIS technology objectives. You will guide software architecture, cloud computing activities, application reliability, and continuous improvement while partnering with cross-functional teams and application users. You will also manage a small to mid-sized technical team, direct short-term strategy execution, and help deliver significant projects within defined budgets.

What you will be doing

• Defining and leading quality engineering strategy across multiple products or portfolios.
• Ensuring quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
• Improving stability, reducing defects, and driving predictable releases.
• Partnering with product and engineering leadership.
• Building and leading QA organizations.
