Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group seeks a hands‑on Quality Engineering Manager in the Fremont area to lead the quality team and own customer quality programs. You will drive audits, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement across PCBA and box-build manufacturing.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years in EMS quality with strong leadership, experience with ISO/AS standards, and a track record of reducing defects and improving yield in high‑mix electronics environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of quality experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
• Minimum 3 years of quality leadership or management experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PCBA and Box Build manufacturing.
• Proven customer-facing quality management experience, including customer escalations, audits, and complaint resolution.
• Strong expertise in root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA, and corrective action programs.
• Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes.
• Knowledge of quality systems and compliance, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, yield improvement, and reducing scrap/rework.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the quality engineering team to achieve manufacturing quality targets.
• Manage customer quality matters, escalations, audits, and corrective actions.
• Drive defect reduction, yield improvements, and scrap/rework reduction across processes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/AS standards and advise on IPC/assembly requirements.
• Support NPI and production transfers with robust quality plans.
