Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineering Intern to join the onsite team at the Gigafactory. The role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing quality, data analysis, and documentation within a highly regarded internship program.

The internship will run 12 weeks as a paid summer program, with start and end dates typically mid-May to early August 2027, and requires full attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university.
• GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
• Must have working-level knowledge of English (reading/writing/speaking).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate process inputs/outputs using statistics, Python, SQL and JMP.
• Update and maintain quality documentation for manufacturing control points.
• Create or update SOPs related to material testing and sampling.
• Design and develop offline quality-related parts to improve inspection efficiency and safety.
• Utilize lab equipment to gather data supporting project objectives.

Education

Engineering degree (Industrial/Mechanical/Chemical) – 2 years completed
