Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD, offers a paid, full-time 10-week internship that combines hands-on project work with mentorship and training. You’ll gain exposure to real programs alongside experienced professionals and receive a prepaid stipend.

The role supports quality engineering activities, including FAI planning, data analysis, reporting to factory managers, and collaboration with internal teams. Applicants should be pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s in engineering and be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Effective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills.
• This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Performing quality planning activities including development of First Article Inspection (FAI) plans.
• Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, data analysis.
• Support Quality processes in receiving, receiving inspection, assembly, test and shipping areas.
• Analyze production results/inspection data and present findings to the team.
• Prepare reports on and present to factory managers, data related to Quality priorities, nonconformances, focus areas, and key issues.
• Track and report on key Quality Engineering activities to ensure proper and timely execution, work with team to improve performance.
• Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
