Textron is offering a 2027 Intern - Quality Engineer (Electronic Systems) opportunity in Hunt Valley, MD. You will contribute to quality planning, data analysis, and process improvement while supporting receiving, assembly, test and shipping areas.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering and US citizenship for security clearance. The internship emphasizes hands-on project work, mentorship, and exposure to multiple Textron Systems capabilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and applications.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality planning activities including development of First Article Inspection (FAI) plans.
• Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, data analysis.
• Support Quality processes in receiving, receiving inspection, assembly, test and shipping areas.
• Analyze production results/inspection data and present findings to the team.
• Prepare reports on and present to factory managers, data related to Quality priorities, nonconformances, focus areas, and key issues.
• Track and report on key Quality Engineering activities to ensure proper and timely execution, work with team to improve performance.
• Interfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.
