Charter Manufacturing invites an engineering-oriented intern to gain hands-on quality experience at Charter Casting – Shawano in Shawano, WI. You will participate in APQP processes, support new product launches, and contribute to process control and documentation in a manufacturing environment.

You should have a relevant engineering degree and 1+ years in quality control or ASQ CQE, with strong SPC knowledge and proficiency with gauges.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years in quality control or ASQ CQE.
• Experience leading problem-solving efforts.
• ISO/QMS experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient with gauges and measurement tools.
• Able to apply team problem-solving techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Experience in APQP/PPAP.
• Strong SPC knowledge.
• Experience with direct customer contact in quality role.
• Related industry experience.

Aufgaben

• Participate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
• Support successful launches of new products and processes with compliant quality controls.
• Join cross-functional reviews to ensure quality and productivity criteria are met.
• Review and verify quality documentation (PFDs, FMEAs, Control Plans).
• Develop standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Collaborate across departments to design new gauging processes or equipment.
• Conduct internal and supplier quality audits and maintain records.
• Train employees in auditing methods as needed.
