Job summary

Job Description

The co‑op student will be working on job assignments related to their functional engineering discipline. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide an effective learning experience and a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Apply principles learned in school to hands‑on situations, including quality evaluations and control.
  • Accomplish performance goals and receive progressive responsibility in quality engineering throughout the co‑op experience.
  • Contact PCC customers and vendors while helping to improve processes.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for specified projects.
  • Attend regular departmental meetings and training sessions, symposiums, and other educational opportunities.
  • Perform or review systems analysis, testing, and documentation for existing processes.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
  • Participate on project teams for assigned projects; analyze improvements and new product or application requirements and specifications with the team.
  • Work within specifications to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of a related engineering discipline and functional/technical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Good writing skills and interpersonal skills.
Education And Experience Qualifications

Full‑time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Work Environment

Student will spend 50%–60% of time in the manufacturing plant; minimal travel may be required.
